Today I’m sharing some scrapbook layouts that I made with the new Flourish collection from Creative Memories.  If you loved the Secret Garden collection from CM last year, you’re likely to also love this collection.  Like Secret Garden, Flourish is full of flowers and butterflies and features watercolor shades of purple and teal, but Flourish also contains a lovely shade of blush.

The Flourish Stickers feature watercolor prints of roses, leaves, hearts and butterflies and are printed on a clear poly.  This allows for the stickers to be layered with some of the background paper and bottom stickers showing through.  I must warn you to take heed when working with these stickers.  They are super sticky and seem to jump out of your hand and right onto your paper – not quite where you intended them to go.  Once on the paper, they are difficult to pull off without taking up some of the paper with it.  The stickers also won’t show up if you put them on the busier prints of paper.  I also found that they didn’t show well on the almost solid sheet of purple in the pack.  If you like the look of a more solid sticker and/or like to add dimension with Foam Squares, adhere the stickers to white cardstock and cut them out with scissors to create a die cut.  Although I found the stickers to be a little challenging to work with, I do love their ethereal watercolor look.

For my first layout, I went a little crazy with the stickers and created a watercolor wreath.  I started by cutting my watercolor background paper to 11-1/2″ x 11-1/2″ and adhering it to a sheet of 12″ x 12″ purple print with the center cut out.  I cut apart the stickers and arranged them on my paper to get my shape, spacing and layering figured out.  (If you use a pencil to draw a circle shape, be warned that the pencil marks will show through the stickers.)

I then started adhering the stickers taking care to overlap and layer as I went around.  I usually like a little dimension and texture on my layouts, so I added some leaf die cuts from the Blend & Bloom Greenery Embellishments (i.e. my current favorite item).  My photo is 4″ x 5″ and matted with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of purple print paper and a piece of 5-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ large floral paper.  I love how this paper is a such a close match to my granddaughter’s bib!

For my second layout, I adhered the rose stickers onto white cardstock and cut them out with scissors.  If you look closely, you’ll see some purple residue on my pink roses.  I first put them directly on the purple paper, but didn’t care for how they looked.  So I very carefully pulled them off, but some of the paper pigment remained.  I created a layered embellishment cluster with more leaves from the Blend & Bloom Greenery Embellishments (Did I mention that these are my current favorite product?) and some roses that I punched from white cardstock with the Original Border Maker with Rose Chain Border Cartridge.

To make my layout, cut a strip of rose print paper to 2-1/2″ x 12″.  Use the Winter Vine Punch (a current favorite tool) to punch a border from the purple print paper and layer as shown.  Cut a 9″ x  10″ piece from the purple paper and a 8-1/2″ x 6-1/4″” piece of white cardstock.  Assemble as shown adding 1/2″ strips of the floral paper to the top and bottom of the purple piece.

My next layout is an explosion of punched pieces, stickers and embellishments.  You’ll notice that I added a little bit of navy cardstock to provide some definition and contrast. For this layout, I adhered all of the Flourish Stickers onto white cardstock and cut out with stickers to create die cuts that could be adhered with Foam Squares.

To make this layout, cut the floral paper to 12″ x 7″, and cut a thin strip of navy to adhere under the top edge.  Add the finished piece on top of a piece of the word print paper.  My photos are 4″ x 5″ and matted with 4-1/8″ x 5-1/8″ navy cardstock mats.  To create the bottom border, punch navy cardstock and green print paper with the Tulip Border Punch and off-set the pieces.  The borders are 8-3/4″ x 2″.

For the top of your layout, create a crisscross double banner using the Banner Flag Punch.  Off-set each banner piece of print paper with a banner from navy cardstock.  Finish your layout by layering leaves from the Blend & Bloom Greenery Embellishments with Flourish Sticker adhered with Foam Squares.

Although my last layout was made with Blend & Bloom Pink Paper, I included it here as it also prominently features the Blend & Bloom Greenery  Embellishments.  Over the years, we’ve had many embellishment packs of paper flowers and several flower punches, so I’m really excited to have this entire pack of greenery embellishments.  The leaves are intricately cut from a light-weight chip board.  And each leaf piece is double-sided with a different shade of green giving us more options to mix and match these embellishments.

My photos are 3″ x 5-3/4″ and matted with a small dot patterned paper from the Blend & Bloom Pink Paper.  I layered the Blend & Bloom Greenery Embellishments with flowers and gemstone and pearl embellishments from the Blend & Bloom Foiled Flower Embellishments.  My layout also includes a banner punched with the Banner Flag Punch and adorned with hearts that were punched by the Original Border Maker with the Heart Duet Border Cartridge.  I adhered the banner pieces with Foam Squares and used White Script ABC/123 Stickers for my title.
