Scrapbooking Weekend Retreats

IMG_9731

I hold two weekend scrapbooking retreats a year.  My February and October retreats are inclusive 3- or 4-day weekends held at the Best Western Hotel & Conference Center in Arcola, Illinois.

The retreats are designed as a fun get-away with hotel accommodations and meals provided by a caterer.  The minimum age to attend a retreat is 15.  Other Creative Memories advisors and other types of crafters may attend only if there is space available.  Scrapbookers get first preference.

Scrapbooking:  You will have use of your own 6-foot scrapping table for the weekend.  We securely lock the scrapping room at midnight and reopen the room at 8:00 a.m. the following mornings.  I provide demos of new tools and techniques and offer optional page-making classes.  Creative Memories supplies are available to purchase, and I provide a large display of sample layouts.  An Ambassador with Forever will be available to assist with online photo storage, media conversion and digital scrapbooking.  Album cover and spine embossing are also offered at my retreats.

Testimonials:
Julie G.  I enjoy the retreats so much!  I don’t have a chance to scrap very often at home, so these retreats are the perfect opportunity to work on projects, see old and new friends, and have a chance to see and purchase new CM products.  No cooking, no cleaning, just fun!
Cheryl G.  I am so glad that Karyn got me started with memory books!  The workshops, picture parties, and retreats she organizes always include great products, fun people, personal attention (helping and teaching) from Karyn, and are a great get-a-way.  I always look forward to the retreats!
Sherrill H. I absolutely love scrapbooking!  I’m so glad that I met Karyn and was introduced to the scrap weekends.  I love the fellowship of other scrappers.  I’ve met so many friends.  Karyn always has a lot of supplies in case you forgot that one container at home.  I’d recommend these weekends to anyone.  Oh, and the ideas you take from these weekends whether it be scrapbooking, recipes, ways to get organized – I just love it all!

  1. Scrapbooking Retreats with Karyn are enjoyable as a time to share being productive and creative with old and new friends. Retreat is a very good title for this getaway; if you come with “your cup 1/2 full”, it will “be full” when you leave! 16+ years of fun and enjoyment!
