It’s Graduation Time!

Is your family celebrating a graduation this year?  Our new Achievements Collection has the perfect Fast 2 Fabulous Album, paper, stickers and embellishments to preserve your memories of this special day.  The white, black and grey hues are lovely and provide the perfect neutral background to personalize with your school colors.  I created these layouts for our CM Blog.  To see instructions for these pages and to see other blog posts with more graduation ideas, please visit my website and click on the Ideas tab.

Celebrate Mom

Our CM Blog Hops are a great source of ideas and inspiration!  Our last Blog Hop celebrated Mother’s Day, and my layout below was the opening project that was featured.  I love the look of mixing our Hello Baby Girl Paper with the wood printed paper from our Fall-In Paper Pack.  To see instructions on how to make this page and for lots of other great ideas, please visit the CM Blog by clicking on the Idea tab on my website.

New Hello Baby Collections

Last month, CM introduced our new Hello Baby Girl and Hello Baby Boy Collections.  Each collection features a beautiful embossed Fast 2 Fabulous Album, pre-designed album pages, a Slide-In Pack, a Paper Pack, and Stickers.  And there’s also an Embellishment pack that coordinates with both collections.  To compliment all of this cuteness, a new Button Chain Border Maker Cartridge was also released.  On April 29th, I was the guest blogger on the CM Blog.  Here are two page layouts that I created for my post about using the baby papers and fun color combos for non-baby pages.  To see the entire blog post with more page layouts and instructions, please click on the Idea Tab on my CM website.  If you love what you see, please leave me a comment!

Love This Paper Pack!

Here are two more reasons to attend my National Scrapbook Day workshop on April 22 & April 23!  I made these pages using our exclusive National Scrapbook Day paper and stickers.  Attending my event is the only way to get these great items.  Attend both days or one.  There will be lots of scrapping, make-n-takes, demos and displays, a page class, door prizes and more!  Please contact me for a registration form.

I made the water using our Shape Maker and 2″ Circle Cartridge.  The boat was made with our Border Maker and Film Strip Cartridge.  The flags were either free hand cut or punched with our Chevron and Star Border Maker Cartridges.  The clouds are trimmed from our Word Bubble Punch.

National Scrapbook Day

I’m holding a two-day workshop to celebrate National Scrapbook Day on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23.  Come one day or both days!  There will be lots of scrapping fun, food, make-n-takes, page classes, door prizes, inspiration and more!  Please contact me for a registration form.

I’m excited to share that I’m the newest member of the CM Design Team.  As an assignment for the team, I created the pages below using our Exclusive National Scrapbook Day items.  Making these pages will be an optional class available at my National Scrapbook Day workshop.  The only way to get the exclusive paper and stickers is to attend my workshop.

Fresh Picks

Our Fresh Picks product collection is very pretty and perfect for spring!  I debuted the page layouts below at my recent weekend retreat to rave reviews.  I used the Fresh Pick Paper Pack, Fresh Picks Slide-In Pack, Border Maker with Lace Flower and Picket Fence Cartridges, our new Corner Rounder, additional sheets of white cardstock, and Foam Square Adhesives.

Blog Photos - Page 006

To make the border above, punch 2 white borders and 2 purple borders using the Border Maker and Lace Flower Cartridge.  Layer the white borders underneath the purple borders.  The butterfly border and the large butterfly are cut from sheets of the paper.  (This paper pack includes sheets of pre-printed borders and title boxes.)  To make the beautiful title, I trimmed a Slide-In card and notched the corners with our new Corner Rounder.  The large butterfly is attached with Foam Square Adhesives.  Photos are mounted on white cardstock and Fresh Pick Paper.

Blog Photos - Page 003

For the page above, I layered a white Lace Flower border underneath a purple Lace Flower border and cut it in half to use on each side of the butterfly Slide-In card.  The Blissful Days title is also a Slide-In card, and the journaling box was cut from an additional Slide-In card.  The large photo is 4×6″ and the two square photos are 3.25″ x 3.25″.  Photos are mounted on white cardstock.  Large butterflies are hand-cut from a sheet of the paper and adhered with Foam Square Adhesives.

Blog Photos - Page 005

To make the border above, punch 2 Picket Fences with our Border Maker and layer underneath the pre-printed border.  The butterflies are hand-cut from a sheet of the paper and adhered with Foam Square Adhesives.  The photos are 3.75″x3.75″.  I used small scraps of paper for the purple mat and the floral mat.  The journaling box is cut from a Slide-In card.

Blog Photos - Page 004

For this page, I used our old Jumbo Circle Cutting Pattern to make the large purple circle, and the floral paper is a scrap piece.  Punch 3 purple Lace Flower borders using the Border Maker.  Cut in half the adjoining bars along the bottom edge of the borders.  Use our Tape Runner or Mini Tape Runner to put adhesive on the backside of each flower.  Adhere the first flower by lining up the top adjoining bar (the uncut bar) with the edge of the purple circle.  Stick the first flower down and curve the border slightly to adhere the second flower.  Work your way around the circle one flower at a time.  Assemble the border using the instructions for the page above.

Watercolor Love

I absolutely LOVE our new Watercolor Love Collection!  Believe me, it’s even more beautiful in person.  The embellishments include heavy paper die cuts of hearts, arrows and banners of several different sizes, colors and patterns and the cutest red and pink heart jewels.  Here are a few pages that I made for our recent CM Virtual Crop2.  Our Virtual Facebook Crops are a fun way to scrap at home while being inspired by great ideas from CM and other participants.  Everyone is encouraged to upload photos of their finished projects, and CM awards gift certificates and free products during the event.

watermarks-page-011

To make this page, I cut out a heart template from scrap paper.  I then used the template to help me place the circles around the perimeter and then filled in the heart with more circles.  To make the circles, I used our CM Shape Maker with Circle Cartridge and our old CM Circle Makers.  Make sure to use Foam Square Adhesives to really make the embellishments pop.  This page was made on our old CM Vanilla Cardstock.

watermarks-page-009

The Vanilla Cardstock squares are 3.75″, the Watercolor Love squares are 3.5″, and the photos are 3.25″.  The row of hearts on the top right were made with our Border Maker and our new Heart Cartridge.  The row of hearts on the middle left were made with our Border Maker and retired Double Heart Cartridge.  Again I used Foam Square Adhesives for dimension, and the page was accented with Vanilla Cardstock and ABC Letters, and pen stitching.

watermarks-page-010

This page was inspired by ideas that our CM Bloggers shared on our Virtual Crop2 and on our CM Valentine Blog Hop (that you can access from my website).  The heart pocket was made by cutting 2 circles using the largest circle pattern and the red blade of our Custom Cutting System.  Cut around the outside edge of the circle pattern with the red blade.  Overlap the two circles to make the top part of the heart.  I then cut two more circles out of scrap paper and overlapped them to get the shape of the bottom pocket. I taped it together to make a scrap paper template that I used to cut out the heart paper to form the pocket. For added fun, cut around the top edge of the hearts with your scissors.  The banner was made using a technique that CM shared on the Virtual Crop.  Cut a 4″ square and draw diagonal lines from each corner and horizontal and vertical lines from the center points of each side of the square.  You’ll see triangle banner shapes taking form.  I used a ruler and pencil to square off the bottom edges of each triangle shape.  Cut out and ta, da!  I adhered the banner with Foam Square Adhesives and used our Watercolor Love heart jewels in-between each banner piece.  Very cute!  The bottom border was made with layering pieces of our Watercolor Love paper and punching two heart borders using our Border Maker with new Heart cartridge.  I also used Foam Square Adhesives to adhere the top banner and heart embellishment pieces.  And don’t forget the pen stitching for added detail.  Very sweet!

In addition to the super cute paper and embellishments, we also have a lovely Fuchsia Album with Embossed Hearts.  Please visit my website or contact me to order our lovely Watercolor Love Collection, new Heart Border Maker Cartridge, and a pack of Foam Square Adhesives.

Christmas Joy!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my Annual Holiday Open House this past Saturday!  It was such a fun day, and it was so good to see so many of you.  I really appreciate your support of my business.  The door prize winners were:  Sherrill H., Mary L., Sue V., and Amy D.

For those of you who missed it, here are the sample pages that I made for the Open House.  I used our new Christmas Joy Paper Pack, Stickers and Slide-In Pack along with our new Diamond Scroll, Medallion Frame Chain and Evergreen Border Maker Cartridges on these pages.  For more ideas using these items, please visit the CM Blog that you can access from the homepage of my CM site.

If you would like to include any of these items – or others – on a Christmas Wish List, just email me a list of the items that you would like to receive and the names and contact info for your husband, boyfriend, mother, mother-in-law, sister, children, friend.  I’ll do the ordering and even the gift wrapping!  Don’t forget to include my February 19th-21st Camp Crop-A-Lot Weekend Scrapbooking Retreat ($150) or my January 23rd All-Day Workshop ($35) on your list.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful to receive the gift of an entire day or entire weekend of scrapbooking?

Christmas Joy 1

The page on the left features the new Medallion Frame Chain Border Maker Cartridge.  To make the tree on the right, create a tree template on a piece of scratch paper.  Use your selected photos to determine the width of the tree.  Using the template, cut the green paper to make the tree.  Use the template to trace cut marks on your photos, or tape your photos to the template and cut to shape.  The red garland on the tree are cutout pieces from the Diamond Scroll Border Maker Cartridge.  Embellish with Christmas Joy Stickers.  I adhered the Merry Christmas and  Naughty or Nice stickers and the star with Foam Square Adhesives.

Christmas Joy 2

I used both the Medallion Frame Chain and Diamond Scroll Border Maker Cartridges on these pages.  The bows on the tops of the trees are cutout pieces from the Diamond Scroll Border Maker Cartridge.  I adhered the Wish List title and the white circle photo frame with Foam Square Adhesives.

Christmas Joy 3

The row of houses is from one of the sheets of paper in the Christmas Joy Paper Pack.  The fence is made with the Picket Fence Border Maker Cartridge and the trees are made with the Evergreen Border Maker Cartridge.  Add torn white cardstock for the snow in-between the fence and the trees.  This idea is adapted from the CM Blog.

Christmas Joy 5

The roof-top is made with the Film Strip Border Maker Cartridge and a strip of red striped paper.  Thread the red paper strip through the film strip border piece  going in and out every two spaces.  Cut a 2×2 square from the red paper and use the cut-out pieces from the Film Strip border to make the bricks.  Punch a Picket Fence border and cut off most of the border to make the top of the chimney.  Use Foam Square Adhesives to adhere chimney to add depth.  Embellish with Christmas Joy Stickers.  This idea is from the CM Blog.

Christmas Joy 4

I used both the Medallion Frame Chain and Diamond Scroll Border Maker Cartridges on these pages.  The green scallops are 2″ circles punched with our Shape Maker and cut in half.

Be Bold & Flourish…

I absolutely love our Be Bold & Flourish Designer Paper and Fast 2 Fabulous Album Pages!  The color pairings and print designs really speak to me.  And they told me that they would be perfect for some special photos of mine…
